Light and Sleep Fragmentation
This trial is testing whether scheduled bright light exposure in the morning and afternoon can reduce sleep fragmentation in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Sleep fragmentation means waking repeatedly through the night, which is common in MCI and may worsen cognitive decline. This is a Phase 4 trial, meaning the therapy itself is established, but researchers are studying its effects in this specific population.
You may qualify if
- Mild Cognitive Impairment
- Age >65
You're excluded if
- Severe depression
- Unstable psychiatric or medical disease
- Acute infection
