Brain Attack Surveillance in Corpus Christi--Cognitive (BASIC-Cognitive)
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. Researchers are tracking how often cognitive impairment and dementia occur in Mexican American adults aged 65 and older in Corpus Christi, Texas, and looking at what resources patients and caregivers actually need. No drug or intervention is being tested. The phase is unspecified because this is surveillance research, not a clinical treatment study.
Eligibility criteria
Inclusion Criteria: 1.65 years of age or older 2. MoCA \< 26 3. Nueces County resident at least 6 months a year 4. English or Spanish speaking 5. Community dwelling or nursing home Exclusion Criteria: none
