NCT07392775 · NOT YET RECRUITING

ALDH2 Genetic Testing in East Asian Community

This trial tests whether giving East Asian American adults genetic testing for two variants linked to alcohol flushing, ALDH2*2 and ADH1B*2, plus targeted education changes their health behaviors more than education alone. Researchers want to know if the testing is practical and acceptable in a real clinical setting. It is a feasibility and behavioral study, not a drug trial, and no results are proven yet.

You may qualify if

  • Age 18 or older
  • Self-identified as East Asian and/or East Asian American
  • Flush when they drink alcohol or have a family member who flushes when they drink
  • Able to read and speak English
