Neurogenetic And Hemodynamic Of Migraine Aura And Pfo
This observational study is comparing people who have migraine with aura and also have a patent foramen ovale (a small hole in the heart, often called PFO) against those who have migraine with aura but no PFO. Researchers want to know whether specific genetic variants, blood flow patterns, and platelet behavior differ between the two groups. The phase is unspecified, meaning this is exploratory research aimed at understanding biology, not testing a treatment.
You may qualify if
- Diagnosis of migraine with aura (according to Chapter 1.2 of the International Classification of Headache Disorders, 3rd edition [ICHD-3])
- Age ≥ 18 years
- Both sexes
- Obtained written informed consent to participate in the study
You're excluded if
- History of congenital heart disease
