NCT06836141 · RECRUITING
Biomarkers for Cognitive Decline in Intracerebral Hemorrhage
This observational study is tracking patients who have had a spontaneous brain bleed to see whether small, silent stroke-like spots visible on MRI are linked to faster cognitive decline over the following year. Participants get MRI scans, blood draws, and memory tests during their hospital stay and at three, six, and twelve months afterward. No phase is listed because this is not a drug trial — it is a study designed to find useful biological markers.
You may qualify if
- Primary Intracerebral Hemorrhage
- Age ≥ 18 and \< 80 years
You're excluded if
- ICH score > 2
- Pre-existing dementia
- Prior history of stroke
- Neurosurgical evacuation of hematoma
