NCT06677632 · NOT YET RECRUITING

Targeting zDHHC Enzymes to Counteract Alzheimer's Disease

This study is investigating a cellular process called S-palmitoylation — essentially how certain proteins get chemically modified by fatty acids in the brain — and whether enzymes called zDHHCs that control this process play a role in Alzheimer's. It is a research study, not a drug trial, focused on profiling these enzymes in human tissue and animal models. No phase is specified, meaning this is early-stage laboratory and translational research.
